Catholic Charities Celebrates St Patricks Day 2017

The St. Patricks Day festivities kicked off in spectacular fashion with our annual St. Patricks Day Boxed Lunch fundraiser completely selling out! (top tip for next year, get your pre-order in early!) We were able to sell all 2300 lunches and would like to extend a big Irish ‘Go raibh maith agat’ (thanks) to everyone who participated!

In true Irish fashion, the traditional Irish mass started at 12:02 p.m. (because the Irish are notoriously late), held at St. Michael Catholic Church. Bishop Earl Boyea of the Catholic Diocese of Lansing and area priests offered the liturgy honoring St. Patrick.  Just before mass The Ancient Order of Hibernians awarded our very own President/CEO, Vicky Schultz, the 2017 Community Award for her remarkable work with Flint's most vulnerable.
