This website is a forum designed for businesses and individuals to show support and aid Catholic Charities, Flint, in recovery efforts of the city—assisting thousands of local residents and families, including the homeless.
The Flint water crisis broke in 2016. Catholic Charities and other community partners responded immediately with a call to action for assistance and healing. Quoting Father Dwight Ezop, Editor of Faith Magazine, ‘When an earthquake destroys a major city, we rally. We don’t blame those caught in the rubble, we help them. We don’t pull our investment, we rebuild. We don’t judge, we pray. Over the past 30 years, an economic earthquake hit Flint, robbing far too many of hope. It’s time we rally.’
We stand together—helping our neighbors increase health, independence, and quality of life. Meeting people where they are, without judgment, offering basic needs such as water, food, clothing, household, linen and personal care items is our mission and work. Prevention education, outreach assistance, foster care, adoption, counseling for mental health and substance abuse issues, and basic health services and information are also provided.
